Ilker Kalin served as a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Foreign Policy and Peace Research (CFPPR) at Bilkent University from 2023 to 2024. He now continues his affiliation with the Center as a nonresident senior researcher.
Ilker earned his PhD in Political Science from Wayne State University in 2018. His research focuses on political violence, conflict processes, nonviolent action, and civil-military relations. His work has been published in Conflict Management and Peace Science, International Interactions, and Freedom House. Ilker is the recipient of the International Center on Nonviolent Conflict (ICNC) Online Teaching Fellowship (2022-2023) and the IPRA Foundation Peace Research Grant (2024).
During his postdoctoral tenure, Ilker also served as the co-managing editor of the Center’s journal, All Azimuth, and now sits on its international advisory board.
