Metin Koca holds a Ph.D. in Political and Social Sciences from the European University Institute, Florence. Koca is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Center for Foreign Policy and Peace Research (CFPPR) and a Part-Time Instructor in the International Relations Department at Bilkent University, Ankara. Additionally, he is an Associate Researcher in the Mediterranean Platform at the Luiss School of Government, Rome. His research interests include the international politics of culture, the dynamics of cultural change and reproduction, and the politics of recognition, tolerance and difference. Having published in several academic journals such as Politics, Religion and Ideology and the Journal of Contemporary European Studies, Metin Koca is also the author of the monograph, Tracing Cultural Change in Turkey’s Experience of Democratization: Unexpected Dialogues on Intolerance (London: Routledge, 2023).
