Enes Şamil Kiraz is interested in the late 19th and early 20th-century Russo-Ottoman relations as well as the transformation of the two empires into republics. Kiraz holds a BA degree in History and a Minor degree in Political Science and International Relations from Boğaziçi University. He joined the DPhil program at Oxford University’s Faculty of History after completing his MA in International Relations at Bilkent University. His thesis was entitled “A Tale of Two Wars: The Russo-Japanese War and the Ottoman Public Opinion”.
